ETHICAL MARKETING Policy
Effective Date: July 24, 2025; Last Updated: September 9, 2025
This Ethical Marketing Policy outlines House Collective’s commitments and standards for client work, industry partnerships, and communications. It reflects our values as a marketing firm dedicated to purpose-driven, ethical, and inclusive practices.
Transparency & Consent
We respect the privacy and autonomy of our clients, their audiences, and our own subscribers. We do not buy, sell, or share customer data, nor do we participate in ad networks or tracking practices that compromise privacy. We use opt-in forms, transparent messaging, and ethical list-building practices across all platforms.
Truthful Messaging
We do not use manipulative tactics, false urgency, or misleading claims. Our campaigns are rooted in clarity, education, and values alignment. We believe marketing should inform and be measured by meaningful engagement and community trust.
Responsible Advertising
Digital advertising represents a small, invitation-only portion of our work. Paid campaigns are offered exclusively to clients who have completed a Blueprint engagement, ensuring strategic readiness and internal alignment. We prioritize full-funnel strategies—integrating email nurturing, content marketing, and audience education—to support long-term growth.
Client & Industry Alignment
We choose to work with clients who share our commitment to ethical growth, community well-being, and sustainability. We do not accept projects from industries or organizations that conflict with our values, including those that promote harm, misinformation, or exploitation. Each new engagement begins with a review of brand values, marketing goals, and mission alignment.
Inclusive & Human-Centered Content
Our content strategy prioritizes equity, accessibility, and representation. We take care to consider tone, language, and imagery in a way that reflects the diversity of the audiences we serve. We actively work to counter stereotypes and build inclusive narratives through thoughtful design and storytelling.
Internal Accountability
Our team discusses marketing ethics as an ongoing practice. We continuously evaluate our strategies and partnerships through both a data and values lens. When questions arise, we revisit our purpose and values, and prioritize doing what’s right over what’s easy.
Every team member plays a role in upholding the values and practices outlined here with integrity, respect, and professionalism in all client and team communications. We do not tolerate harassment, discrimination, dishonesty, or misconduct of any kind. Concerns may be raised directly with the Founder or shared through our internal communication channels.
Use of AI in Strategy & Content
We occasionally use AI tools to support research, generate outlines, or streamline internal processes. All outputs are reviewed, refined, and approved by our team to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment. Our AI approach is always human-first and human-last touch, grounded in expertise to guide, with final decisions made by people.
Our Commitment:
At House Collective, we believe marketing can be a force for good. We are proud to support purpose-led teams, and we remain committed to ethical marketing that honors the communities we serve.
We consider this policy and code of conduct a living document. Every team member contributes to upholding our standards—and we are committed to continued learning, accountability, and improvement.
