Effective Date: July 24, 2025 | Last Updated: August 12, 2026
This Ethical Marketing Policy outlines House Collective’s commitments and standards for client work, industry partnerships, and communications. It reflects our values as a marketing firm dedicated to purpose-driven, ethical, and inclusive practices.
Transparency & Consent
We respect the privacy and autonomy of our clients, their audiences, and our own subscribers. We do not buy or sell customer data. We use opt-in forms, transparent messaging, and ethical list-building practices across our platforms, and handle data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Truthful Messaging
We do not use manipulative tactics, false urgency, or misleading claims. Our campaigns are rooted in clarity, education, and values alignment. We believe marketing should inform and be measured by meaningful engagement and community trust.
Responsible Advertising
Digital advertising represents a select portion of our work. We approach paid campaigns thoughtfully, with an emphasis on strategic readiness, responsible targeting, transparent messaging, and sustainable growth. We consider the broader customer journey, including content, email, and audience education, when developing advertising strategies.
Client & Industry Alignment
We seek to work with clients who share our commitment to ethical growth, community well-being, and sustainability. We consider brand values, marketing goals, and mission alignment when evaluating new engagements.
Inclusive & Human-Centered Content
Our content strategy prioritizes equity, accessibility, and representation. We take care to consider tone, language, and imagery in a way that reflects the diversity of the audiences we serve. We actively work to counter stereotypes and build inclusive narratives through thoughtful design and storytelling.
Internal Accountability
Our team discusses marketing ethics as an ongoing practice. We continuously evaluate our strategies and partnerships through both a data and values lens. When questions arise, we revisit our purpose and values and prioritize thoughtful, responsible decision-making.
Every team member plays a role in upholding the values and practices outlined here with integrity, respect, and professionalism in client and team communications.
Use of AI in Strategy & Content
We may use paid business or professional AI tools to support research, analysis, ideation, content development, and internal processes. AI-assisted work is reviewed and refined by our team, with human expertise, judgment, and accountability throughout the process.
Our Commitment
We consider this policy and code of conduct a living document. Every team member contributes to upholding our standards, and we are committed to continued learning, accountability, and improvement.
